Website Access and Server Logs

When you access the website, technical access data may be processed to deliver the page, maintain security, and diagnose errors. This can include IP address, date and time of access, browser and device information, requested URLs, referrer URL, and similar technical data.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Local Storage and Cookie Notice

The website stores the value veer_cookie_consent in your browser's local storage when you accept or dismiss the cookie notice. This prevents the notice from appearing on every visit. This local storage entry is used only for the website notice state.

This local storage access is treated as technically necessary to provide the notice state requested by the visitor and to avoid repeatedly showing the same notice. You can reopen the notice through the Privacy Settings link in the website footer. The website does not set advertising cookies.

Contact Form

If you submit the contact form, we process the information you provide, including name, work email, company, area of interest, and any optional job title, phone number, and message. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, prepare a demo or proposal, and maintain a record of business communication.

The current contact form is submitted through Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service. Web3Forms receives the contact-form fields and forwards the inquiry to veer.io for response handling. More information is available at https://docs.web3forms.com/getting-started/faq.

The contact form is also protected by hCaptcha for spam and abuse prevention. Your captcha response and related technical data may be transmitted to hCaptcha for the stated purpose.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to pre-contractual or contractual communication, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for abuse prevention, secure operation of the form, and maintaining business communication records.

Providing the required contact-form fields is necessary if you want us to respond to your inquiry through the form. If you do not provide the required fields or captcha response, the form cannot be submitted; you may instead contact us by email.

hCaptcha

The contact form uses hCaptcha to distinguish legitimate form submissions from automated abuse. hCaptcha is provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., United States. hCaptcha may process data such as IP address or other identifiers, date and time of interaction, browser, platform, device and operating-system information, captcha response data, and interaction signals such as mouse movements, scroll position, keypress events, touch events, and similar information as applicable.

hCaptcha states that, when it acts for integrators, relevant processing is governed by customer contracts and may use Standard Contractual Clauses or Data Privacy Framework participation for EU/US transfers. hCaptcha's own privacy information is available at https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy.

Newsletter Signup

If you submit the newsletter signup form, your email address is sent to veer.io's website server and then submitted to Mailchimp, our newsletter service provider, for subscription handling. Depending on the Mailchimp audience configuration, Mailchimp may send a confirmation email before adding you to the mailing list.

Newsletter emails are sent only for veer.io updates and related insights. You can unsubscribe through the link provided in newsletter emails. Mailchimp's privacy information is available at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/.

Analytics

The website can load a configured Umami analytics script only when the deployment provides analytics environment variables and the visitor has accepted the website notice. Analytics, if enabled, is used to understand aggregate website usage and improve the website. The script should not load after the notice is dismissed.

External Links and Third-Party Services

The website links to third-party websites and services, including LinkedIn and provider privacy pages. If you follow those links, the third-party provider is responsible for its own processing.

Current third-party service categories for the website include hosting/CDN and infrastructure providers for serving the website, Web3Forms for contact-form forwarding, hCaptcha for spam and abuse prevention, Mailchimp for newsletter signup and newsletter delivery, SharePoint for partner resources linked from the website, and optional Umami analytics if configured and accepted.

Because Web3Forms, hCaptcha, Mailchimp, and some other infrastructure providers may involve providers outside the European Economic Area, personal data may be transferred to third countries, including the United States. Where required, transfers must be covered by an adequacy decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or another valid GDPR transfer mechanism. Copies or details of the applicable safeguards can be requested via privacy@getveer.io.

Retention

Contact-form and email inquiries are generally retained for up to three years after the end of the year in which the inquiry is resolved, unless a longer statutory retention period or active business relationship applies. Newsletter subscription data is retained while you remain subscribed and for the period needed to document consent, unsubscribe handling, and compliance. Commercial and tax-relevant records may be retained for the applicable statutory retention period. Server logs are retained for the period needed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention and should be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Browser local storage remains on your device until you clear it or change browser storage settings.

Your Rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. The website does not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. hCaptcha performs automated anti-abuse checks to determine whether a form submission may proceed, but this does not produce legal or similarly significant effects for website visitors.

To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@getveer.io.
